Pay Scale: Pay Level – 3 (₹21,700 to ₹69,100) for all posts.
Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed the Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/University as on 1 January 2026.
Nationality/Citizenship: Candidate must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit: The candidate’s age must be between 18 to 23 years as on 1 January 2026. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 2 January 2003 and not later than 1 January 2008.
Age Relaxation: The upper age relaxation is 3 years for OBC and Ex-Servicemen candidates, and 5 years for SC and ST candidates. For more details on age relaxation, please refer to the official notification.
Application Fee: The application fee is ₹100. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) are exempted from payment of the fee.
Application Form Correction Charges: Candidates can correct their application form from 8 January 2026 to 10 January 2026. The correction charges are ₹200 for the first time and ₹500 for the second time.
SSC GD Constable Selection Process
The recruitment process will consist of the following stages: 1. Computer Based Examination (CBE), 2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST), 3. Detailed Medical Examination (DME), and 4. Document Verification (DV).

The examination will be a computer-based objective type paper. The duration of the exam will be 60 minutes. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The questions will be in English, Hindi, and 13 other regional languages, including Assamese.
