The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released a short notification for the recruitment of 8850 Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) posts. This recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies for both graduate and undergraduate level posts in various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the class 12 (10+2) or its equivalent examination for Undergraduate posts. For Graduate posts, candidates must possess a Graduate Degree from a recognized university.
Age Limit: The age limit will be calculated as of 1 January 2026. For Graduate Level posts, the age limit is 18 to 33 years. For Undergraduate Level posts, the age limit is 18 to 30 years. Age relaxation for reserved categories will be applicable as per government rules.

Note: For General/OBC candidates, an amount of ₹400 will be refunded after appearing in the 1st Stage CBT. For all other categories, the full fee of ₹250 will be refunded after appearing in the 1st Stage CBT.
RRB NTPC Selection Process
The selection process for the RRB NTPC recruitment involves multiple stages. Candidates will first have to appear for the 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT). Those who qualify will be called for the 2nd Stage CBT. Following this, a Typing Skill Test or Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) will be conducted, depending on the post.
